After the storm has passed
After harsh words have been said between us
Please dear let’s let peace in
And the winds die down
I no longer wish to yell or shed a tear
My emotions have worn me down
Left me worn out and full of fear
Can’t take another day or night
Trapped in these feelings
Imprisoning me and hindering us
Just want to be the one to give you love
After the storm
The sun comes out
The birds fly across the sky
The day has begun
The sun has already risen
And I am still listening….
