The Transition

His heart is of gold
And his brain works
Constantly like a steel mill

There's a weirdness all about this big
Ole lonely world
And this young man
I know used to feel so lonely
Not anymore though for his senses are becoming
More unique and the horizon in his perceptive life
Is broadening and becoming more alive

Its as if he got
Whacked on the side of the head
By an eighteen wheeler that
Crushed some road kill on
The side of the highway
Amazingly, I've always
Known what this feels like
To me its as if we were
Meant to be soul mates
